Wow! No better summer place in Mazama: on the MCT for easy access biking and on a LAKE WITH ACCESS TO A POOL AND HOT TUB???!!! Justin was super responsive and has outfitted his family cabin with super-luxe details. The cabin great room felt like a perfect transition to the amazing expansive views of the adjacent valley cliff walls. The furniture and linen bedding was super comfortable and they provided plenty of plush towels for dipping in the lake and drying off. This house is like living in a work of art. Both our families are looking forward to coming back!

Words can barely suffice to explain how beautiful this home and location are. Everything here has been provided for your comfort and ease. Stunning surroundings, beautiful kitchen, stocked with everything you will need, comfy great room with all the games and puzzles you could want as you sit in front of a warm and cozy fire. The bedrooms are zen retreats with beds as cozy and comfortable as I’ve ever experienced. The linens alone I could write a paragraph about. The views from both master suites are breathtaking. The children’s loft was magical and so cozy, all the toys and books your little ones could want. Again, the bed linens almost stole the show. Justin is super attentive and friendly and quickly worked out a little kink for us. The surrounding property is as beautiful as the North Cascades could offer. Mazama proper is a stones throw away but you might never want to leave. This property was lovingly created and our family felt cozy and special! Recommend 100%

No detail has been overlooked in this modern lake front masterpiece, nestled in the mountains of Mazama! For the modern adventurer, recreation is waiting just outside your front (and back) doors. And for the guests looking to recharge, simply walk into your en suite, luxury spa bathroom!
The home is beautifully appointed with high end touches, beds like clouds, and all of the modern comforts of home.
One of our favorite spots was gathering in the Great Room at the end of a long day, sipping cocktails, enjoying great food and retelling stories from our day spent outside.
The bar has been set very high here and we may not be able to settle for anything less when we retreat to the mountains of Mazama!

Perfection! We had a wonderful time at this beautifully designed and decorated house. The view was gorgeous. We enjoyed swimming and floating in the lake and walking to the river. The host was very quick to respond to any question we had. We will definitely come back.

This place is truly magical! My family spent a glorious week here over the holidays and it provided our extended family so much joy and reconnection after we experienced a tragic loss in the fall. From the moment we walked in to heated floors and a brilliantly set up entryway to strip off our gear, to the moment we put our heads on the master bedroom pillows to stargaze from the big picture window, we knew we had picked the perfect place to stay. Yes, it is expensive, and it was a stretch for us, but it was worth every penny. The owners have curated the most gorgeous space and furnishings, all of which they generously share with guests -- softest linen sheets and comforters from Parachute, gorgeous dishes and high end appliances, a bathtub whose water pours deliciously from a spout in the ceiling, glass windows to capture views of lake and mountains and star-filled skies, a generously sized dinner table and kitchen for magnificent family meals, a gear garage with sleds and skis... The space is both designed to be beautiful (with the most amazing wallpaper in the bedrooms) and to be very livable at the same time. It is well stocked with games and puzzles, which kept us busy and together around the lovely living room fireplace. It is exceptionally clean and easy to keep that way. It was very cold (-16 one night) when we were there and we stayed nice and toasty inside. A laundry room and high-end washer and dryer were especially welcome. This is truly the nicest ski cabin we've ever stayed in (or ever will). And one more thing: Justin, the owner, is such a fabulous communicator and host. He is kind and thoughtful, instantly available by email or text, but never obtrusive. We got stuck for an extra day because of heavy snow in the passes and he made it possible for us to stay an additional night. This is truly a special, special place. We made memories here that we will never forget. And you will too.

I had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful, modern, and spacious cabin in Mazama, Washington, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. Located just 5 minutes away from the famous Mazama Store and 15 minutes away from the charming town of Winthrop, the cabin offers the perfect combination of seclusion and convenience.
Upon arrival, I was struck by the cabin's stunning architecture, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light and offer picturesque views of the surrounding forest. I cannot say enough good things about the Après Cabin and Justin’s attention to detail. The place was incredible and had more than we would ever need. It was impeccably decorated and the amenities exceeded our expectations. Justin was always responsive and went out of his way to help us many times. We stay in the Mazama/Withrop area a couple times a year and this home, by far, is the most spectacular. We hiked and MTN biked every day and it was so easy to get around. And then getting home to our air conditioned palace to make dinner and sit by the fire, was tremendous. Justin has truly figured this out and we will no doubt stay here again. Thank you Justin for building this amazing home and allowing us to “camp” here for two weeks! I highly recommend all to consider this home as it is the best place in the valley.

Justin, the owner is extremely accommodating. We recently stayed at the Après Cabin to conduct a photoshoot in the area. Originally, we planned to come in January. However, due to bad snow conditions we were forced to postpone the trip at the last minute. Justin could have charged us 50% of the total fee for a no show but instead, he worked cooperatively with us to reschedule our trip. Above and beyond.... About the house, it's insanely nice! The water for the bathtub in the master bedroom comes out of the ceiling. How cool is that??!!

We could not be more thrilled with our stay at the Apres Cabin! Our experience as a whole with the space and Justin as a host was phenomenal to say the least. We used the cabin as an event space for our small wedding. The added event supplies the cabin can provide was all excellent and as advertised. It made things very easy for the day of and gave us convenience and piece of mind. Justin also had great recommendations for local vendors for other rental needs we had and that was super helpful. The cabin itself is beautiful, comfortable, spacious, and modern. The home features were easy to use and the addition of the gear garage helped make for an extra fun week in the Methow Valley. Justin was always very helpful and timely with responses and was excellent to work with as we made plans for our wedding. We would highly recommend the Apres cabin for a relaxing retreat, an adventure filled vacation, or as a small event space. Again, we are so glad we came across the Apres Cabin! Many many stars!

Beautiful home in a beautiful location. This was our second time staying at Après Cabin and it exceeded our expectations yet again. It's a beautiful and comfortable home located in picturesque Mazama on a lake. There were 8 of us - 4 adults and 4 kids (ranging 4-9) and it fit our families perfectly. The bunk room is great for the kids and the bedrooms are great for the adults! We use the gear garage when there which is so helpful so we don't have to bring all of that equipment. We always have a wonderful time here and look forward to coming back again!

This home is perfectly designed and appointed in a peaceful wooded setting by a private lake that offers easy access to everything in the Mazama area. The pristine views of the mountains and lake were breathtaking and it had a great indoor/outdoor feel with large picture windows and sliding doors. Everything has its place in this home and no detail has been overlooked. The gear garage with equipment for every sport in any season was a huge bonus.
When we arrived the house was lit up and the heat was on so although it was a chilly October evening the house was warm and inviting when we walked in. We enjoyed leisurely mornings in the great room where the kids played games around the fire. The well-stocked kitchen offers a barista espresso machine. In the evenings the kids roasted marshmallows around the outdoor fireplace and watched movies in the home theater. The bedrooms are serene and the mattresses are heavenly. We borrowed bikes from the gear garage every day - we were just steps from the renowned Methow Valley mountain biking trails. It's an easy and beautiful bike ride into town to the Mazama Store, a local favorite. We recommend any of the delicious homemade pastries and their legendary salted baguette.

What you see is what you get at the Après Cabin. A beautiful home, awesome setting, and a comfortable stay for families and large groups. We brought our family of four (including two young kids), a teenager, and grandparents; everyone had a fantastic time and we were glad to be out of the city for a few days. Highlights for us included walking around the lake in the rain, lucking out with just enough snow for a good snowball fight, family meals around the big table, magna-tiles building sessions in the bunk room, and movies on the projector in the TV room. Winthrop is a short drive and a fun excursion for a change of scenery. Obviously, the aesthetics are incredible and you'll probably find some inspiration just staying there. Personally, I'm still getting over the wallpaper, but the other amenities are all top notch. Nothing was spared in making this an incredible home. Five starts all around!

I am a bit hesitant to write a review of Après Cabin as I’d selfishly like to keep this gem all to myself. Our family (4 adults and 4 children under 8) spent a week during the winter months and had a fabulous time. Justin, the proprietor was very professional, friendly and communicative of all the amenities, what to expect, check in and with any needs or wants we had. What can I say about the home itself, the home is modern, well appointed, but cozy and really suited our family. The bunk room was perfect for our four daughters and was a great space for them to hang out when not out playing in the snow. The two other bedrooms had lush king sized beds each with a big picture window that you can gaze out into the valley and up to the stars at night…it was a dreamy way to fall asleep each night. The bathrooms felt like their own individual spas (especially the steam shower) and each night the children would retire to the 3rd bedroom/theater room for movie night while the adults either sat by the fire or played games at the table. The outside fire place was also great and we had a fire on New Years Eve and made S’mores which the kiddos thoroughly enjoyed! We made most of our meals and the kitchen is more then fit for the home chef - great knives, appliances and provisions (spices, etc). Finally, we opted for the “Gear Garage” that had cross country skis, sleds and shovels/snow ball makers for the kids. This was a great perk and allowed us to easily take advantage of all the ski trails just outside our doors. We were all sad to leave Apres Cabin, but can’t wait to book our next stay!

We LOVED our stay! Two grandparents, four adults, and two toddlers and everyone was very happy. The house was beautiful & absolutely perfect for our long weekend of relaxation and exploring. Our favorite place was the outdoor seating area by the fireplace. Though there were other homes nearby, it still felt very private and secluded. Justin was incredibly responsive! This is a truly beautiful modern home in Mazama near the Freestone Inn. The great room was stunning, as were all of the windows looking out at the water and surrounding mountains. We were there in winter so didn't spend time sitting outside, but the outdoor fireplace / seating area was super cool. It's basically ski in /ski out with a very short walk to the trails. Probably the best stocked kitchen of any rental house I have ever been to. My only small gripe is that the bedroom pillows were tall and soft (not a combination I liked personally). And it would be next level if they put in a hot tub in at the house. In the winter, going over to the Freestone hot tub and walking back wet and cold didn't seem optimal, and nothing beats a soak after skiing or hiking. But a phenomenal rental overall with a super helpful and responsive host. We hope to return!

Our group of 8 spent a lovely autumn weekend at Justin's cabin cooking, hiking, soaking in the hot tub, basking in the warmth of the outdoor fireplace, and enjoying the quaint charm of the Mazama General Store and Public House. The central great room was a perfect space to socialize and relax, and we found ourselves in constant awe of the home's lovely design details and expansive views of the landscape. The large stash of boardgames, kitchen supplies, and the Gear Garage made it feel like home away from home, we barely needed to bring anything. My only regret is that we didn't have even more time!

Great light filled, contemporary home on a beautiful, small lake. We especially enjoyed the comfortable beds, exploring around the property and lodge beach and hot tub nearby, cooking meals together in the well stocked kitchen. So nice to get out of the city and see trees and be in nature. Super easy drive from Seattle as well. Upon arrival, we were met w fairly intense smoke in the air from the fires. Justin was super responsive to give us suggestions on how to manage and resources for fire info. Luckily, the next morning the sky was clear and no smoke for the rest of the trip!

The house was amazing, Justin does so much to make the house so immensely wonderful and comfortable. It's unlike any other vacation home stay that we have ever had, or could imagine having. Absolute 7-star house, facilities, finishes, and the way he curates every little detail is mind-blowing. What a gift to the rental home marketplace that this house is even available for rent. Very few places you will ever stay and literally want to build a trip around trying to just get back to the house, but the lakefront setting and amazing gear garage has us already thinking about how we can get back next year. my only advice, try to stay as long as possible - you will not want to leave. This is a great home for hosting. There is one main hangout space (which is perfect for socializing/eating) and each sleeping room pretty much has a designated bathroom, so you never feel like your intruding on other people’s space. Highly recommend for a group that loves the outdoors and activities that you get access to in Mazama. Sidenote - they had great knives that were sharp. Loved it and hope to stay here again!

Justin's open communication and digital solutions eased the process of a seamless home-sharing transition. We absolutely loved our stay. The house is beautiful. We felt so relaxed 5 minutes into our stay. The kitchen was well stocked. And a guide was provided to use any appliance, this was very helpful for the coffee maker! We used both outdoor patios, really lovely views! The primary bedroom was tucked back in behind the fireplace wall so that we didn’t hear a lot of noise from the great room. The view was serene. The Après Cabin was such a beautiful refuge in the woods! We visited during winter and enjoyed the heated floors, fireplace, and very quick access to ski trails. Literally walk across the street and you can access the Methow's massive trail network. I was in a bit of a work pinch at the end of my stay and asked Justin if I could stay for a few hours to use the wifi—he responded immediately, checked in with his local team, and was gracious enough to let me stay for awhile. All in all it was an extremely positive experience with so much attention to detail throughout.

Man this place is unreal! Justin is a superb host who is available to answer any questions. But we didn’t need much help- the booklet with all the details was really helpful. Communication with Justin was excellent. He responded to any question almost immediately and, on his own, made numerous suggestions to make our stay more enjoyable. The house is located in beautiful surroundings with spectacular views out the extensive glass windows in the living area and elsewhere in the house. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. Having a large dining table which could seat our entire party of 10 (and 12 when 2 friends staying nearby came over for dinner) was a nice amenity which frequently has not been the case at other airbnb rentals we have rented. Full refunds & free rebooking before 30 days
Before 30 days to check-in, we guarantee guests a full refund, minus credit card processing fees, and charge no fee to rebook. Refunds are issued within ten business days of guest cancellation. Within 30 days to check-in, we cannot guarantee any refund or rebooking.
We offer guests complete rebooking for any nights disrupted by wildfire evacuations or where air quality levels measured above 200 for 24 hours starting and ending at 3pm, as measured by Purple Air Sensor located at MV Bush School. These policies are available exclusively to our Direct Booking guests. Guests booking on third party sites must comply with those policies.
Health
We are taking extra precautions to create a healthy environment for our guests. Our enhanced cleaning and sanitization process adds two Molekule FDA 510(k) Class II medical device grade air purifier. Guests have the option to use these during their stay. Between stays cleaners will run the air purifier for at least two hours in bedrooms, the amount of time studies have shown to eliminate over 99.999% of proxy viruses for SARS-CoV2. Hand sanitizer is placed at the front entrance.
Safety and privacy
Your safety and privacy are important to us, and we think you should know ahead of time what technology we use to make your stay safe and easy. Après Cabin uses three outdoor cameras to monitor the property at all times. They are located at the front door, rear door and lakeside porch. An alarm keeps the house secure between guest stays and door chimes provide helpful cues to parents. Google Assistant is built into the Google Hubs and smart clocks and Google’s usage terms apply.
Nature happens
Even with all the technology, creature comforts and amenities included, Après Cabin sits at the edge of the wilderness. Internet and cellular signals may vary more than they do in the city. Fallen trees and extreme temperatures make power outages more common. Get ready to slow down, prepare for adventure and enjoy the magical mountain setting. From flashlights and bug spray to nearby co-working spaces, local services and more, we will make sure you have everything you need if nature happens.
